Privacy Policy

Overview

FaceDraft ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and your rights. FaceDraft is a photo quality analysis tool for dating profiles — it does not perform facial recognition, biometric scanning, or any form of facial identification.

1. Data We Collect

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

3. Face Data — Explicit Statement

FaceDraft does not collect, store, or retain face data.

While photos submitted for analysis may contain images of human faces, FaceDraft does not extract, identify, or process any facial features, biometric identifiers, facial geometry, or face-related data of any kind. The AI analysis evaluates only general photo quality factors such as lighting, composition, background, clarity, and overall visual appeal for dating profile use.

3.1 Face Data Retention

No face data is retained because no face data is collected. Photos transmitted for analysis are processed entirely in memory on our server and are immediately discarded after the quality analysis is complete. No copies, thumbnails, or derivatives of the photos are stored server-side at any time.

3.2 Face Data Sharing with Third Parties

Photos are transmitted to Google's Gemini AI (specifically the Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite model) for quality analysis via the Google Gemini API. Google processes these photos solely to generate the analysis response. Under Google's Gemini API Terms of Service:

No other third parties receive your photos or any face-related data. For full details on Google's data handling, see Google's Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Terms of Service.

4. Third-Party AI Processing

What data is sent: Compressed photo images selected by you for analysis.

Who receives the data: Google Gemini AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite model), accessed via a secure Google Cloud Function endpoint operated by FaceDraft.

Purpose: To analyse photo quality factors (lighting, composition, background, clarity, approachability, authenticity) and provide scores and text feedback for dating profile optimization.

Retention: Zero. Photos are processed in memory and discarded immediately after analysis. No photos or image data are stored on our server or on Google's servers.

4.1 In-App Consent

Before your photos are sent for analysis for the first time, FaceDraft displays an in-app disclosure that explains:

You must explicitly agree to this processing by tapping "I Agree" before any photos are transmitted. You may also tap "Learn More" to review this privacy policy before deciding.

5. How We Use Your Data

6. Data Storage and Retention

6.1 On Your Device

Photos you select and analysis results are stored locally on your device. You may delete your entire analysis history at any time from within the app, which permanently removes all locally stored data including cached photos and analysis results.

6.2 On Our Servers

We do not store any user data on our servers. Photos are transmitted to our Google Cloud Function endpoint, processed in memory by the Gemini API, and discarded immediately. No logs, copies, or derivatives of user photos are retained.

6.3 Third-Party Retention

Google does not retain photos or image data submitted via the Gemini API beyond the brief processing window required to generate the response, as described in Section 3.2 above.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as described below:

No other third parties receive any of your data.

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

FaceDraft is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
